Vanilla

I’m a naturally restorative, nourishing extract, plus I smell pretty sweet.

Technical Term

Vanilla Planifolia (Vanilla) Fruit Extract

Ingredient Class

Sidekick Ingredients

I’m a sidekick: I help assist active ingredients by enriching different formulas to make them even more awesome.

I help condition, protect, and smooth skin.

How I'm made

I’m naturally extracted from Vanilla beans, which are dried from the unripe fruit of the orchid Vanilla Planifolia: the beans are hand-picked, cured, wrapped, and dried in a careful process that can take 4-6 months.

How I work

I have a warm, comforting fragrance and some pretty potent powers: my main aromatic compound, Vanillin, is a natural antioxidant that helps soothe, protect, heal and condition skin, so it stays hydrated and soft.

Fun fact

I’m a bit of a world traveler: I can grow in most tropical climates near the equator.
