Instead of counting sheep, try these tips from our partner Smiling Mind to settle the mind before sleep.
MINDFULNESS MOMENT
Just imagine being able to travel anywhere in the world, the galaxy or even the whole universe! In our dreams, we can do just that. If you could fly in your dreams, where would you go? What does it look like? What does it smell like? What does it sound like?
MINDFULNESS TIP
To help calm your mind and settle down before going to sleep at night, practise some belly breathing. You can do this by putting your hands gently on your belly and noticing the movement as you breathe in and out. Take ten breaths this way and slowly drift off to sleep. Sweet dreams!

MINDFULNESS MOMENT
Did you know that remembering and savouring a happy memory or pleasant experience, for example; a joke or funny situation shared with a friend, or a hug from someone you love releases feel good chemicals in our brain and this can help us build optimism and reduce negativity.
MINDFULNESS TIP
Have you noticed that emotions are always changing? They are kind of like the weather, sunny one day and perhaps a little rainy the next. Whatever emotion you are feeling, write it down, draw it, or share it with someone who cares about you.
no worries

Sometimes you want to feel No Worries: here are a few tips from our partner Smiling Mind to help you make your mood
MINDFULNESS MOMENT
At times we all worry. Stuff happens and we can build skills to handle it. Turning towards and remembering what we’re thankful for can help.
MINDFULNESS TIP
Quick! Grab something to write with and some paper. Make a list of all the things you are grateful for, the things other people do for you, your friends or family and even the seemingly small ones, like ‘the sun is shining today’.
real focused
Bring the zing to game days and homework with this bright minty- citrus mood booster that helps you bring your A-game even when you don’t wanna play.
Unwind with Smiling Mind’s meditation
With a little attention, we can build a mindfulness muscle. Give these exercises a try from our partner Smiling Mind for an extra boost.
MINDFULNESS MOMENT
We all have strengths, like kindness, creativity, honesty and many more. What do you think some of yours might be? Using our strengths helps us feel happy and energised.
MINDFULNESS TIP
During meditation you don't have to try and clear your mind or force yourself to focus. Minds will naturally wander: thinking, planning or daydreaming. In meditation we choose what to pay attention to. For you, this might be noticing your breathing or body sensations or even just listening to the sounds around you. When we notice our mind has wandered, this is a moment of mindfulness, and we bring our attention gently back to the anchor. We do this again and again, building our mindfulness muscles.
